A recent CIPD UK survey reported that most workplace coaching is delivered by managers but the realities experienced in NZ organisations highlight the barriers.

So what is the case for managers as coaches? What can they do well and what should they not do? How can you tell who will be an effective coach? How can you get managers to adopt a coaching approach and what does it take to get the most out of coaching interventions?

Drawing on a range of studies and international experiences we will suggest simple approaches to getting it right.
