Dr Michael Cavanagh
Michael Cavanagh is a Coaching and Clinical Psychologist and Deputy Director of the Coaching Psychology Unit at the School of Psychology, University of Sydney. An academic and a practitioner, Michael has over 17 years experience in facilitating personal, group and organisational change and is a frequent presenter at international conferences.
Michael’s coaching practice and teaching emphasises the use of empirically-validated techniques and draws on the cognitive-behavioural, motivational interviewing and solution-focused approaches.
He has received a number of awards for his work in psychology, and has been instrumental in the development of the coaching profession through his role as a co-convener of the Global Coaching Convention in Dublin, July 2008.
