Mentoring & Workplace Coaching Programmes for Organisations

The New Zealand Coaching & Mentoring Centre provides mentoring & coaching programme design and support for organisations who want to take advantage of what is the most valuable learning resource an organisation has - its own people. We work with a diverse range of client organisations providing programme consultancy and training for mentors, mentees and co-ordinators.

Mentoring programmes require clarity of purpose, need to be well designed and have mechanisms for ensuring that they offer high value for time invested to all those who participate. We can assist you to design, run and evaluate your own world-class mentoring programme in your organisation.

NZCMC can work with an internal person or project team to:

  • Clarify the goals of the mentoring programme
  • Design the mentoring programme and ensure it is fit for purpose and aligned with existing performance management practices
  • Develop guidelines to enable the smooth running of the programme
  • Assist the team to present/promote the programme to key stakeholders in the organisation
  • Train mentors and mentees
  • Review the programme with mentors and mentees once it is up and running
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the mentoring programme to provide information on outcomes.

Every mentoring programme is unique, and we will tailor an approach to suit the size and the purpose of your project.

Bringing in the skills and experience of NZCMC can fast track progress and help avoid some of the common pitfalls that mentoring schemes encounter as well as make the whole experience a valuable learning in itself.

NZCMC is a member of the board of International Standards for Mentoring Programmes in Employment and uses their guidelines as a basis for the work.

Mentoring Programme Evaluation and Review

Improving Quality, Assessing Effectiveness and Justifying the Investment

A good evaluation process will ascertain the degree of success of the programme by providing information on the level of satisfation with the mentoring process, whether the intended outcomes have been met, identification of the areas needing refinement and ascertaining whether  the business needs been fulfilled.

Graduate Mentoring and Professional Registration Programmes

The primary role of a Graduate Mentoring Programme is to provide support and guidance for a less experienced person in their career development and career prospects. Within programmes mentoring relationships are established that are usually non-reporting in nature and are additional to other forms of assistance, not a replacement.
